MILLIE GROUP
Mobile App Feature Redesign
As a key member of the UX design team for the Millie Group project, my role encompassed multifaceted responsibilities, including designing the dashboard interface, facilitating stakeholder meetings, and conducting user interviews. Through my contributions, I played a pivotal role in shaping the project's direction and ensuring alignment between user needs and design outcomes.
Dashboard Design:
My primary responsibility involved designing the dashboard interface for the centralized platform aimed at enhancing student engagement and streamlining event scheduling processes. Leveraging my expertise in UX design principles and tools, I crafted an intuitive and visually appealing dashboard that prioritized user accessibility and functionality.
Stakeholder Meetings:
Recognizing the importance of stakeholder input in driving project success, I took a proactive approach in organizing and facilitating stakeholder meetings. These sessions served as crucial forums for aligning project objectives, gathering feedback, and fostering collaboration between various stakeholders, including Millie Group leadership and project team members.
User Interviews:
A cornerstone of our user-centered design approach, conducting user interviews was another key aspect of my role. Drawing upon my interpersonal skills and empathetic understanding of user perspectives, I crafted interview protocols and engaged with students and counselors worldwide to glean insights into their workflows, preferences, and pain points.
Impact:
By fulfilling these diverse responsibilities, I contributed to the development of a comprehensive UX design solution that effectively addressed the challenges faced by the Millie Group. My role in designing the dashboard, facilitating stakeholder meetings, and conducting user interviews underscored my commitment to driving user-centric innovation and delivering tangible value to our clients.

During the initial phase of the project, we conducted extensive research to uncover the underlying issues contributing to the lack of student engagement. Our investigations revealed a crucial finding: students were largely unaware of the events offered by the Millie Group due to ineffective communication channels. Despite Millie Group's reliance on email communication, interactive engagement remained elusive, thwarting their efforts to garner significant traction within their target demographic. Delving deeper into the problem, we unearthed a twofold challenge: not only were students failing to engage, but school staff also lacked an effective means to communicate event information to students, exacerbating the issue. Counselors found the event scheduling process arduous and time-consuming, further impeding their ability to facilitate student involvement.
Millie Group preferred to contact their users through emails since they didn't have an interactive platform however, these attempts failed and they did not receive enough engagement from their targeted audience.

In response, we embarked on a transformative initiative to address these systemic challenges. Our solution? The development of a centralized platform designed to streamline event dissemination and access for students, while also empowering counselors with efficient event scheduling capabilities, including the coordination of college prep courses.
Our strategic approach commenced with a comprehensive analysis of the competitive landscape, scrutinizing competitor platforms, user engagement patterns, and feedback. This scrutiny unveiled a common thread among competitors: the integration of interactive platforms facilitating seamless interaction between students and educators, coupled with intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
Laura requires a streamlined learning experience tailored to her career advancement goals. Specifically, she needs a personalized skill recommendation system integrated with advanced filtering options to efficiently discover relevant courses aligned with her professional aspirations and accommodate her busy schedule.
Augmenting our qualitative research, we conducted a comprehensive competitive analysis to glean insights from industry peers. By scrutinizing competitor offerings and dissecting user flows, we identified best practices and areas for differentiation.
Translating insights into tangible design concepts, we engaged in iterative sketching and wireframing sessions. These collaborative exercises fostered creativity and consensus within the team, allowing us to explore diverse design directions and iterate on interface elements.
Developing a mid-fidelity prototype, we prioritized realism and usability. Through rigorous usability testing, we validated our design assumptions and iteratively refined the prototype based on user feedback. This iterative approach ensured that our solution resonated with users and addressed their pain points effectively.
It takes just a few moments to integrate with our platform, and the results are outstanding.
